NAPIT has won their second Marketing Award this year at the Electrical Industry Awards Ceremony, held at London’s prestigious Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington.
NAPIT – who strive to uphold standards throughout the electrical industry – were able to fend off some stiff competition to claim a second Marketing Campaign of the Year Award with their winning ‘promotion by postcode campaign’.
The ceremony followed the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards where NAPIT won their first award at Plaisterer's Hall, London, earlier this year.
NAPIT Group Deputy Chief Executive, Michael Andrews, said: “This has been a great year for NAPIT. Our Marketing Department has been working extremely hard to promote our members and these awards really are the ‘icing on the cake’ for the campaign. We feel very privileged to have had our hard work and success recognised across the industry and honoured in this way by two separate judging panels.”
The marketing campaign, which continues to run on a quarterly basis in local newspapers across the country, uses a targeted ‘promotion by postcode’ approach, helping consumers find NAPIT registered tradesmen in their region.
Also featuring regular editorial, NAPIT’s award-winning initiative covers electrical safety, the benefits of renewable energy technologies and the importance of using a Registered Installer. Most importantly, it includes the contact details of local NAPIT registered tradesmen and businesses, helping homeowners contact competent tradespeople in their area. Alongside this editorial, the NAPIT Marketing Team also ran a series of competitions, including a range of prizes worth up to £500.
This winning promotion of NAPIT members has recently been enhanced with the launch of the ElectricSafe Register, a new brand and search facility designed to take consumer recognition of competent electricians from a local to a national level.
Commenting on ElectricSafe, Michael Andrews continued; “NAPIT are keen to build on this marketing success, finding new, ever more creative ways of promoting competent electricians. ElectricSafe has been designed to cut through confusion and create a brand that will be instantly recognisable to householders across the UK, helping to increase consumer awareness of the importance of using a registered electrician.”
The ElectricSafe Register is free to join and open to full scope electrical members of all UK Competent Person Schemes. For more information, please visit the website at www.electricsaferegister.co.uk, telephone: 0845 543 0353 or email: info@electricsaferegister.co.uk
