Private investment in roads a vital vision for the future

Commenting on the Prime Minister's proposals for new private financing models for road infrastructure,
Baroness Jo Valentine, Chief Executive of business group London First, said:
“This call for new, private investment in our strategic road network is a welcome move and echoes recommendations from our recent commission on London's critical transport links to the rest of the UK. Our road infrastructure is vital for business - delivering more capacity with new private financing models will not only cut the congestion that hits the economy but also build a modern vision for transport infrastructure that matches our European rivals.”
