Skills for Justice works with employers of all sizes across the public, private and third sector to understand fully the skills and workforce development needs of employers, and offer a range of valuable products and services which aim to improve workforce efficiency and drive up skills levels
Skills for Justice is part of JSSC group, which is an independent, employer-led charity working to ensure employers have employees with the necessary skills to be productive, efficient and effective. JSSC group is the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the UK justice, frontline services and professional services sectors.
JSSC group comprises Skills for Justice, Skills for Fire and Rescue, Skills for Local Government, Skills for Armed Forces and the Financial and Legal Skills Partnership. These organisations are the Issuing Authorities for Apprenticeship frameworks in England and Wales for the sectors covered by the SSC license.
The group’s remit covers more than 3.5 million workers – 13 per cent of the UK workforce. The group’s wide-ranging customer bases comprises: police forces and law enforcement agencies, court, tribunal and prosecution services, forensic science services, custodial care including youth justice, the wider offender management service, fire and rescue services, armed forces, roles within local and central government, and legal and financial services employers.
JSSC group aims to enable employers and employees across the world to develop skills for success. Through tailored brands, it has developed quality products and services to meet their needs. Specifically it supports workforce planning, people management including recruitment, induction, development, promotion and exit, leadership development and organisational change. It also provides evaluative support, helping employers to identify the return on their investment in skills including the social return on investment.
The group works across the UK with offices in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as delivering work overseas.
