What Price Justice?
Government plans for legal aid threaten to leave thousands without legal representation, denying them access to justice.
The Law Society launched its What Price Justice? campaign to raise awareness of the value of legal aid and legal aid lawyers, using real examples of how clients have benefited from legal aid advice. The campaign is supported by a wide range of organisations, including MIND, Shelter, NSPCC, the Refugee Council, Advice , and the Child Poverty Action Group.

Small Claims
The Law Society has published Fast and Fair - its proposals for lower value personal injury claims - which will avoid the need to increase the small claims limit.
We believe that the solution to concerns about costs and delay is to streamline the process rather than raise the limit and deny consumers independent representation. In 'Fast and Fair' the Law Society explains why it is crucial for people to have the help of a solicitor in bringing their personal injury claim and shows how the process can be streamlined without denying people this help at a time when they most need it.
