Party Conferences 2011

Attending Party Conference? Come along to HPC's fringe events

25/08/2011

The Cabaret of Care - where every type of care is crucial

Effective care is like a cabaret – it is only as good as its component parts. How will health and care professionals, providers from different sectors, local authorities, regulators, the government and the public work together to ensure the delivery of high quality integrated care?

The fringe will examine how the right regulation of the health and social care workforce and the right regulation of providers such as hospices can make sure more people receive high quality care, including at the end of life. Discussion will focus on the impact of regulation on the delivery of such care, and explore what lessons can be learned for the future of regulation, including the forthcoming development of a new system of regulation for the adult social care workforce.

Health Professions Council (HPC) along with the Help the Hospices will be hosting fringe events at the Liberal Democrat, Labour and Conservative Party Conferences throughout September and October 2011 as part of The Health Hotel .

Members of HPC's Executive will be participating at the fringes, which will be attended by political figures from each respective party.

Party conference season is an important time for organisations to be involved in policy debates and to meet with a variety of stakeholders including politicians, registrants, professional bodies and regulators. Almost every elected party representative – from Ministers to Council leaders – will attend their Annual Party Conferences and it is here where they and thousands of party members debate and decide the party's policy agenda.

Please find below invitations to each party conference with details of time and venue.

If you have any questions please contact Lizzie Dowd, Communications Officer on 0207 840 9132 or lizzie.dowd@hopc-uk.org

We look forward to seeing you there.
