Pound handed frontbench role

Ealing North MP Stephen Pound, best-known around Westminster for his inexhaustible supply of dodgy jokes, has been promoted.
Ed Miliband has appointed him as shadow Northern Ireland minister, replacing Eric Joyce, who resigned last week after some unpleasantness.
Pound, pictured here with his friends Lembit Opik and Nigel Evans, had been an assistant whip - he will be replaced in that role by Mark Kendrick.
An MP since 1997, also did a stint as PPS to Hazel Blears and Stephen Timms.
Pound was once referred to as a "tattooed bruiser", so Northern Ireland should take heed.
